Join our Journey towards excellence

A chance to join the journey towards excellence at one of the most innovative hospitals in the region is being offered to health professionals.

Meet some of the people whose lives have been transformed by the opportunities provided by the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, in King’s Lynn.

A recruitment event will be held at the hospital on Wednesday, September 14, from 4pm to 7pm to find around 70 nurses along with midwives, radiographers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and nutritionists.

The QEH is striding ahead with upgrades to facilities to help improve the patient and staff experience.

Earlier this year, the hospital opened the first of its two state-of-the-art laparoscopic theatres, in a £3.2 million project, along with a £650,000 dedicated Breast Unit and the Midwife Led Birth Centre plus £1 million has been spent on new equipment at the X-Ray department. Recently, the Accident and Emergency Department has undergone a £2 million expansion, which includes a specialist children’s area,

Chief Executive Dorothy Hosein said: “We have invested a lot into our services and facilities to ensure this hospital is ready for the future by bringing in a lot of state-of-the-art equipment.

“Now we are looking for the right people to come and join us on our journey towards excellence. We have set ourselves the ambition of becoming an outstanding Trust in all areas of the care we provide to our patients.

“I hope to see as many registered nurses, midwives and Allied Health Professionals as possible on September 14 to look around our excellent facilities.”

Those attending the recruitment drive will be given a tour of the hospital plus there will be opportunities to speak to potential colleagues.

Assistance on the application process will be provided on the day.
