Bowlers support the QEH’s Stroke Unit

Generous bowlers from a West Norfolk club have raised £300 to support patients who have suffered a stroke.

Terrington St Clement Memorial Bowls Club have supported The Queen Elizabeth Hospital’s A rated stroke unit, West Raynham Ward.

Members who had won prizes and trophies during the season had donated that money to the fundraising along with supporting two raffles.

George and Brenda Girdlestone presented a cheque to staff on West Raynham Ward.

Mr Girdlestone said: “We are pleased to support a local charity and with the amount raised.”

Earlier this year, West Raynham Ward achieved an A rating from the Royal College of Physicians – the highest rating a stroke unit can receive.
