A musical duo will be adding the right note to this year’s Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Organisers are hoping to make the event on Friday, September 29, to make it a little more upbeat than in previous years.
Music and singing will be provided by popular Arias Echo, comprised of sisters and Springwood High School students Georgia and Maddi Dawson, at the coffee morning in the hospital’s The Hub restaurant, from 9.30am to 12.30pm.
Many local businesses have already volunteered to provide a wide range of raffle prizes. First prize is the weekend use of a Mercedes C Class car, which has kindly been provided by Mercedes Benz of King’s Lynn.
Organisers are also appealing for donation of cakes, which can be brought to the Macmillan Support and Information Centre at the rear of the hospital by the day before.
Macmillan Support and Information Centre manager Vicky Mitchell said: “It should be a really pleasant event to attend, enjoy a nice coffee and cake and be entertained too.
“We’re really grateful to all our supporters and obviously would welcome more cakes and raffle prizes.”
