King’s Lynn Freemasons raised £1,000 for cancer patients

Cancer patients at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital will benefit from the generous donation made by members of the Philip Broadfoot Lodge, based at the King’s Lynn Masonic Centre.

The Philip Broadfoot Lodge have donated at total of £1,000 to the hospital’s Macmillan Cancer Care and Treatment Fund.

Members of the Philip Broadfoot Lodge raised this amount during the year of office of the previous Worshipful Master, Ian Sutherland, via raffles and other events.

Mr Sutherland, who is now the Immediate Past Master, and is wife Angela have presented the cheque to Nurse Corrinne Rankin for £600 with a further £400 to come from the Philip Broadfoot Masonic Relief Chest Scheme.

He said: “We are really pleased with the amount raised and to support such a good cause as the Cancer Care and Treatment Fund. “
