New arts project launched at QEH

A new project surrounding arts in the QEH is being established.

The aim is to raise money for pieces of art such as a memorial tree for patients in our garden of peace and hope, and to set up a gallery in the Trust for local artists to display their art, music and literary events for patients.

Kicking off the fundraising is our chief transformation officer Ciara Moore when she takes on the 100km London2Brighton Challenge on Saturday, May 26.

It will be her second 100km walk – she walked from the capital to Cambridge in 2016.

“I try to do 10,000 steps per day in the week and I quite often go for a 10 or 15-mile walk at the weekends with my dog,” said Ciara (49), who lives in Cambridge. “I like the countryside and I enjoy walking. It’s easy and a good way of keeping healthy – I’d encourage people to do it.”
