Thank you to Listers Mini for donating presents

Young patients at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital will have a present to open on Christmas morning thanks to a generous West Norfolk car dealership.

Staff at Listers Mini have delivered scores of gifts to Rudham Ward on Thursday, 20th December.

Daniel Taylor, Megan Hill and Sophie Diaper from the dealership, which is based in the Hardwick Industrial Estate, dropped off the presents to Charge Nurse Mandy McMurray and Healthcare Assistant Kyesia Duncombe.

Mr Taylor said: “We wanted to give something back to the community, especially at this time of year.”

Presents to the children’s ward have also been donated by KLFM in recent weeks following their successful toy appeal.

Older patients in West Newton Ward have also received gifts thanks to the enthusiasts who took part in the fifth Ryston Land Rover run earlier this month.

Acting Chief Executive Dr Nick Lyons has thanked all the individuals, businesses and groups have remembered the Trust’s patients.

He said: “It is always astounding to see the generosity of West Norfolk community in donating Christmas presents to our patients.

“The support of companies like Listers means a great deal to not only our patients, their families but also our staff at this time of year. We would like to take this opportunity to wish the community a very Happy Christmas.”
