Patients with diabetes will benefit from a sponsored walk around the Sandringham Estate.
Catherine Harvey has organised the event on Saturday, 18 May, to raise money to support the work of the Diabetic Nurses at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Mrs Harvey has worked with the Estate to provide two routes, of two-miles and six-miles, to cater for all ages and abilities.
Walkers will be able to register from 9.30am to 10.15am ahead of the walks starting at 10.30am.
Mrs Harvey said: “I have benefitted hugely from the services of Diabetic team at the hospital as I am type 1 insulin dependent diabetic.
“I know the nurses do a lot of fundraising themselves so I felt the least I could do was to organise a fundraising event to contribute.
“The longer route starts and ends at the Sandringham Estate Visitor Centre but takes in West Newton and the ruins of an abbey. While the shorter route follows the yellow trail and will be suitable for children.
“We are hoping for good weather and to raise a lot of money to support the diabetes team.”
Registration costs £5 and walkers are also encouraged to get sponsorship.
