A talented teenager has raised hundreds of pounds to say thank you to the doctors and nurses who cared for his younger sister.
Alec Marshall sang for 93 people in Tilney St Lawrence Village Hall on 23rd March and raised £682.51 for the Neonatal unit at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
The 17-year-old from Tilney St Lawrence was inspired to raise money for the unit after staff cared for his sister Ellie, who is now aged 14, for 18 days after she was born four weeks prematurely.
Alec said: “I wanted to say thank you to the unit for looking after my sister who is now absolutely fine. I remember how nice everyone was in the unit.
“It is nice to be able to give something back to the unit for the help they gave to my sister. It is a really good cause as they do such great work.”
