Nearly £1,000 has been raised to support cancer patients thanks to the efforts of West Norfolk villagers.
Tilney St Lawrence residents have donated £910 to The Queen Elizabeth Hospital’s Cancer Care and Treatment Fund.
This money was raised by a bingo, donations from a birthday party and the funds from the defunct village history group.
A cheque was presented to the Trust by Phil and Betty Cullen, Linda and Eddie Petts, Betty Cullen and Anne Thompson.
Mr Cullen said: “We were really pleased to make this donation to a really good cause. The bingo was attended by more than 90 people and we had a terrific response.”
