Patients on West Newton Ward at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King’s Lynn received an early Christmas surprise when staff from construction company Balfour Beatty visited the ward with sackfuls of presents.
Staff from Balfour Beatty’s King’s Lynn Drainage Board project collected six boxes full of presents, including contributions from sub-contractors Royal Haskoning DHV Engineering, GEM Services, Aries Services, A Plant and Geobind.
Ward sister Donna Snowden said: “We are hugely grateful to the staff at Balfour Beatty for all their efforts in collecting the presents for our patients.
“These will help to put a smile on their faces when they are going through a difficult time in hospital over the Christmas period.”
