Further support for midwives and their patients at QEH

The new year has seen the launch of the Professional Midwifery Advocates scheme across women’s services at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King’s Lynn.

The Professional Midwifery Advocates, or PMAs, are a team of experienced midwives who support midwifery staff to deliver exceptional, safe care – meeting the needs of women and their families.

As well as working closely with community midwives to deliver the best care possible, PMAs support communications between woman and midwife. They also hold open discussions about the overall experience or any questions or concerns the patient may have.

Contact us:
PMAs can be available to patients at any time, easily accessed via your midwife or via email or phone. It should be noted that Professional Midwifery Advocates are not involved in the formal complaints process, Patient Advice Liaison Service (PALS) should be contacted in this instance.

Email: PMAs@qehkl.nhs.uk

Telephone: 07388 373836  (non-urgent, via call, voicemail or text)
