Patients, their families and members of the local community are being encouraged to nominate staff and teams at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King’s Lynn for their annual awards.
The Team QEH Awards aim to recognise outstanding care, kindness and innovation at the Trust, with 13 awards up for grabs for individuals and teams.
The awards will be presented at an event to be held in November, restrictions permitting.
The awards open to public nominations include the We Care Award, which recognises an individual who consistently displays a positive attitude towards their work, delivering outstanding patient-centred care.
The Clinical Team of the Year is also open to public vote. This award will be presented to a clinical team which has gone above and beyond the call of duty and has made an outstanding difference to patients.
With under 4 weeks until the closing date for nominations, the Trust is inviting members of the public to send in their submissions as soon as possible.
Caroline Shaw CBE, Chief Executive at QEH, commented: “The Team QEH Awards is my favourite event of the year – being able to highlight the staff who consistently go above and beyond to give exceptional care to our patients, keep a behind-the-scenes function running smoothly or working hard to continue to innovate and improve our services is truly an honour and shows the commitment and dedication of our staff.

Other awards which will be presented during the Team QEH Awards include: Volunteer of the Year, Patient Safety Champion Award, Non-Clinical Team of the Year, Leader of the Year, Growing Our Own, Behind the Scenes, Allied Health Professional of the Year, the Award for Outstanding Achievement in Education or Research and the Chairman’s Award for Developing Against the Odds. These awards will be nominated by colleagues at the Trust.
