Nominations for the QEH Governors’ Council opens

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King’s Lynn NHS Foundation Trust (QEH) is calling for representatives to join its hospital Governors’ Council and help shape the Trust’s strategic plans.

Members of the local community who are interested in supporting the development of patient care at the Trust and across Norfolk and Waveney, are encouraged to nominate themselves to represent their constituency, as a hospital Governor, before 5pm on Wednesday 15 December 2021.

The Governors’ Council is made up of Publicly Elected Governors from the community served by the Trust, Staff Governors and Appointed Governors. The Governors represent the interests of the Trust’s members and partner organisations and the Governors’ Council guides and influences decisions about spending and developing services.  The Governors’ Council is also responsible for appointing and setting the remuneration of the Chair and Non-Executive Directors.

The Governors’ Council has responsibility for sharing information about key developments with NHS Foundation Trust members and other partners, for example, by providing a link between the Trust and local GP Practice Patients’ Groups.

There are seats up for election across the four constituencies of West Norfolk, North Cambridgeshire, South East Lincolnshire and Breckland, North Norfolk and Rest of England. There are also seats for Clinical and Non-Clinical members of hospital staff.

To find out more and to register your interest, please email ftnominationenquiries@cesvotes.com. You can also apply online at cesvotes.com/QEHElection or phone: 0208 889 9203.
