Start your NHS career at QEH

Later this month local hospital recruitment experts are holding a special event that showcases the wide range of job opportunities available in the NHS.

The NHS Careers Clinic takes place on Saturday 14 October, from 10am to 3pm, at Job Centre Plus on Broad Street, King’s Lynn.

At the event job seekers can speak to staff who directly treat and care for patients, as well as those who are just as vital playing a role behind the scenes.

Paul Bridges, who works in the theatres team at the hospital and will be at the event, said: “I love working at QEH, there is always a friendly face you bump into in the corridor.  There are so many opportunities for people to work in the NHS, even starting as an apprentice or student, across lots of different roles, professions and specialities.

Andrea James, Talent Engagement Lead at QEH, said: “Come and speak to us about the range of jobs we have available. You could be just starting out in your career or looking for a change of direction. Perhaps you are looking for progression or want to take a hands on role caring for patients but aren’t sure where to start.

“I encourage people of all ages to come along, from school leavers to those who are more experienced to see what is available for you.”

John Syson, Director of People, added “There are more than 350 different careers in the NHS, so whatever your ambition or career goal, we can help you achieve it. So often we have new team members who join us in one role and move into different areas or specialisms across the Trust as they learn more about what we have to offer.”

The clinic is a drop-in session and there is no need to book. Simply pop along to the Job Centre Plus, Broad Street, King’s Lynn between 10am and 3pm.

Ends.
