The Annual Members’ Meeting for The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King’s Lynn takes place later this month and everyone is invited to learn about a year of innovations.
The meeting – which is named Making a positive difference together – is taking place on Tuesday, 30 July in the Board Room at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King’s Lynn.
It is a chance for members of our Foundation Trust and the public to see some of the progress achieved in 2023-24.
Bookable tours of some of the hospital facilities will be available for small groups from 2pm. Registered guests can get behind the scenes tours of either:
- Our state-of-the-art Endoscopy Unit – where tiny cameras are used in diagnostic and treatments procedures by taking a close look at the inside of your body
- Our Education Faculty’s new simulation suite – a practical hands-on space for lifelong learning for new and experienced healthcare professionals
- Our Peddars Way Unit – a new dedicated unit opening this Autumn for patients who are in their last days and hours of life. Funded by the QEHKL Charity with support from the League of Friends, it will have five ensuite rooms for patients and their loved ones, providing a more comfortable, dignified and private place for people receive their final care away from busy hospital wards.
From 3pm to 5pm the Annual Members’ Meeting gets under way and will showcase a range of innovations that have improved services to the community we serve. Come along to hear from the Trust’s Chair, Chief Executive, directors, clinicians, and governors about the services we have delivered, and the progress and achievements made during 2023/24.
There will be presentations on:
• Urgent & Emergency Care transformation
• Rehab Revolution: Innovations in Joint Replacement Therapy
• Our award-winning Education Faculty

As well as looking back at what we have achieved, the meeting will also look to the future as we embark on more ambitious plans and priorities for the year ahead.”
