The prestigious award, presented during a ceremony at Digital Health Summer Schools last Thursday (17 July) at the University of Warwick, recognises Kaye’s exceptional leadership, innovation and dedication to improving digital clinical safety across the NHS.
Kaye, who serves as the lead CSO at The QEH, was honoured not only for her local impact but also for her national leadership. She is the founder and chair of CSO Coffee and Chat, a thriving monthly forum that connects over 500 CSOs across the UK to share learning, tackle challenges, and promote best practice in clinical safety.
Reacting to the award win, Kaye Reynolds said: “I’m incredibly honoured to receive this recognition. Clinical safety in digital health is such a vital area, and I feel very privileged to work alongside so many passionate, skilled professionals both here at QEH and across the country. Creating and building the CSO Coffee and Chat forum over the last two years has proven a fantastic way to share, learn, develop and connect, not only CSO’s, but others working in digital clinical roles too. It’s a fantastic community of peers who work tirelessly to improve the safety of our digital clinical systems.”
Merwyn Agcaoili, Chief Nursing Information Officer at The QEH, said: “Kaye is a natural leader who brings people together and builds trust. Her tireless work on clinical safety and her commitment to continuous improvement inspire everyone she works with. This award is well deserved and a proud moment for the Trust.”
Jonathan Reddington, Director of Digital Information and the New Hospital Programme at The QEH, added: “This is a fantastic achievement for Kaye and a reflection of the digital talent we have at The QEH. Her national recognition demonstrates how our team is not only delivering local improvements but also influencing the digital health agenda across the NHS. We are incredibly proud of her.”
The Digital Health Awards celebrate innovation and excellence in NHS IT leadership, spotlighting individuals and teams who drive transformation despite significant challenges. Nominees are judged by advisory panels from across the national Chief Clinical Information Officer (CCIO), Chief Nursing Information Officer (CNIO), and Clinical Safety Officer communities.
Ben Jeeves, Chair of the Digital Health CSO Council and one of the judges, said: “The CSO Awards are a powerful reflection of the ambition, expertise, and collaborative spirit that define the CSO community.
“For me, the CSO Awards are more than a celebration. They spotlight a community that is fundamental to the transformation we are living.”
