Dawn joins from Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, where she is Director of Nursing and Director of Infection Prevention and Control and was previously Interim Chief Nurse.
She has more than 40 years’ experience in nursing and has held senior roles in Yorkshire and at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Dawn began her career training as a nurse at The QEH in 1986 before progressing into a range of senior operational and executive roles.
Michelle Arrowsmith, Executive Managing Director at QEH, said: “Dawn brings extensive experience in clinical leadership, patient safety and infection prevention and control. Her background and executive experience will be invaluable as we continue to focus on quality improvement and supporting our nursing teams.”

Dawn’s appointment follows the departure of Chief Nurse Pippa Street, who joined QEH in August 2023.
