Admission Clerk Melanie Culey has been honoured with a Living Our Values Award for her outstanding compassion and dedication, after providing exceptional emotional support and reassurance to a distressed patient whose urgent eye procedure was cancelled.
The Secretary of State for Health and Social Care has praised The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH), King’s Lynn, for its transparent and constructive response to the NHS League Tables.
Emergency and life-preserving care will continue at The QEH during industrial action by resident doctors (formally known as junior doctors). This strike takes place from 7am on Friday 14 November until 7am on Wednesday 19 November 2025.
The QEH has taken a major step forward in advancing surgical training and patient care with the introduction of new high-tech simulators for gynaecological surgery.
