The QEH is proud to celebrate International Day of the Midwife (5 May) and International Nurses Day (12 May) with a week-long tribute to the skill, dedication and compassion of its midwifery and nursing teams. And today, that celebration took on a very special moment of its own.
As the UK marks Dying Matters Awareness Week (5–11 May), The QEH is recognising the importance of open conversations around death and dying, while celebrating the positive impact of its Peddars Way End of Life Unit, which has now been open for five months.
A team of 10 dedicated runners laced up their trainers at the weekend, covering a collective distance of 100km and raising more than £1,600.00, in support of The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) Epic Moves, Better Lives Appeal.
The QEH is celebrating the remarkable career of Staff Nurse Michelle Crisp, who retires this month after dedicating 40 years to the NHS.
