Health and Wellbeing Event for those Living With and Beyond Cancer

Macmillan Cancer Support based at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn, in partnership with West Norfolk Community Cancer Support Team has arranged a Health and Wellbeing Event.

The event is designed for people who are living with and beyond cancer as well as their carers. Macmillan, along with other health professionals, will be on hand to provide information and support.

Patients and their carers can talk to health professionals and other advisers about:

  • Healthy diet and lifestyle
  • Possible long-term side-effects of treatment
  • Benefits and other financial support
  • How to get back to work
  • Local services, facilities and other opportunities available.

The event will be held:

Vicky Mitchell, Information & Support Manager for Macmillan commented: “This is the perfect event for you and your carers to come along to. We’re there whether you need information on finding services near you, help with getting back to work, or just a cup of tea and a chat with someone who understands how you’re feeling. You’ll also get the chance to meet volunteers who’ve been through a cancer experience and can offer support and guidance.”
