Staff and patients at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital will be doing their bit in the fight against cancer by raising money at a World’s Biggest Coffee morning.
Volunteers from the Macmillan Care and Treatment Centre will be selling coffee and cakes in The Hub, the hospital’s restaurant, from 10am to noon on Friday, September 30.
Thousands of coffee mornings will be held across the country to raise money to support the charity’s work.
The Hub, which can be found on the first floor, is donating the tea and coffee for the event. A raffle will also be held on the day.
Vicky Mitchell, who is the Hospital’s Macmillan Information and Support Manager, said: “We are hoping to raise hundreds of pounds to help people who have been affected by cancer.”
