A teenager is organising a charity auction to give something back to the children’s ward at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Chloe Hobday, 15, of Downham Market, was treated in Rudham Ward when she was younger and has put on the auction to say thank you to the nursing staff.
The enterprising youngster has received a number of donations from generous businesses to go under the hammer in the Eternity Church, Sovereign Centre, Sovereign Way, Downham Market, on Saturday, April 1.
An 18-hole round of golf, jewelry, meal vouchers and afternoon tea are among the lots which will be on offer from 5.30pm (Doors open at 5.00pm).
Chloe said: “The staff on Rudham ward helped me when I was younger and I wanted to say thank you.
“I am hoping to raise £1,000 for the ward during the year and the response I’ve had to the auction from businesses has been really good.
“We will be offering tea and coffee at the auction and I hope as many people as possible will be able to come along and support the ward.”
