Two areas at QEH have benefited from a £1,000 donation.
Wolferton Bingo Club held a prize bingo session in April, which raised £405, and the total more than doubled with donations from Simon Guy, of SMG Alloy Wheels in King’s Lynn, Tracy Sherratt, of Capelli Hairdressing Salon in King’s Lynn (to commemorate 30 years of trading), and Holme-next-the-Sea resident John Sherratt.
John prompted the fundraising after seeing that former work colleague Mick Reed was raising money to buy extra pillows and nebulisers for our Terrington Ward and Medical Assessment Unit.
John said: “I personally would like to thank the ladies that made this happen – Sherral Farrow, Kay Martin, Anna Farrow and Julie Gant – and Wolferton Social Club for allowing us to use their facilities.
“Many thanks to all and especially Mick Reed who highlighted this problem during his stay in the QEH.”
Matron Debbie Longmuir said the donation was very welcome and thanked everybody involved.
