Two Team QEH members are cycling more than 400 miles in four days to fundraise for the East Anglia Air Ambulance.
It will be the second consecutive year that Helen Senior and Bridget Woods have taken part in the Adrian Flux Lap of Anglia, an organised event around the circumference of the area which the air ambulance covers.
There will be about 40 riders in the group which sets off from the helipad at the QEH at 8am on Wednesday, 8 August and returns there on Saturday, 11 August at about 7.30pm.
Helen, an infection prevention and control nurse, said: “It’s a good challenge. Last year on day three we had headwind, rain and lots of hills!”
Cancer compliance manager Bridget, a member of King’s Lynn Cycling Club, said: “The camaraderie between the group is great. Helen and I are both really looking forward to it again.”
This is the sixth annual ride and the total raised so far is £79,000. The average cost of a mission by the air ambulance is £3,500.
