A Necton fan of banger racing organised some races and raised £200 for the QEH’s Cancer Care and Treatment Fund.
Ben Cox (21) was inspired to fundraise after two people close to him developed breast cancer.
Using a Peugeot Boxer MOT failure donated to him at his workplace – Davey Cox Car Repairs at Necton – he took part in the Big C meeting held at King’s Lynn’s Adrian Flux Arena over the August bank holiday.
Around half of the money came from the van donor and the rest from people who gave a donation to have their name painted on it.
Mr Cox, who won one of the races, said he appreciated the support.
