Incredi-bowl donation to QEH Cancer Fund

King’s Lynn bowls club raises thousands for The Queen Elizabeth Hospital’s Cancer Care Fund.

The Globe Bowls Club, located at the Walks, raised £1,240 for the QEH Cancer Care & Treatment Fund from numerous fundraising events including an afternoon of cakes and fizz and a race night held at the club.

The club, made up of 700 members, chose to donate to the local unit after many of their members received treatment there.

Acute Oncology Sisters Emmy Rajagembeeram and Ria Parker accepted the award. Ria said: “Thank you so much for this donation. The money will be put towards new equipment for the unit to further improve patient care and experience.”

The bowls club would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated money and prizes, and a special thank you to Megan Barton for making the delicious cakes!
