Annual Members’ Meeting 2026 highlights

The event provided an opportunity to hear directly from hospital leaders and clinical teams about the past year at The QEH, the improvements underway across the organisation and how we are improving care and shaping the future of healthcare for the communities we serve.

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King’s Lynn welcomed more than 170 people to its Annual Members’ Meeting on 17 September 2026, with around 100 attendees joining in person and a further 75 watching online.

The meeting brought together members, governors, staff, partners and local stakeholders to reflect on the Trust’s progress over the past year, celebrate the achievements of Team QEH and look ahead to future opportunities.

Attendees heard updates from leaders across the organisation and the Norfolk and Waveney University Hospitals Group on the improvements being made to services, the ongoing work to deliver better care for patients, and plans for the future, including the New QEH programme and development of a long-term clinical strategy. It was emphasised that no decisions have been made regarding future service arrangements and that staff, patients and local communities will continue to play an important role in shaping plans as they develop.

The meeting also showcased examples of innovation and improvement across the Trust, including achievements within maternity services and research, highlighting work that is enhancing patient experience, expanding access to research opportunities and improving outcomes for local people.

The event provided an opportunity to recognise the dedication, professionalism and compassion shown by colleagues across Team QEH every day, while reinforcing the Trust’s commitment to delivering its priorities and building a safer, more supportive and sustainable organisation.
